The Faculty of Graduate Studies awarded the researcher Buthaynah Yousef a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Teaching Methods in response to her thesis entitled “Content Analysis of Old and New Technology Textbooks for Fifth and Sixth Grades with Reference to Standards for Technological Literacy for International Technology Education Association (STL)”.
This study aimed at finding out the availability of Standards for Technological Literacy) henceforth, STL) in the old and new textbooks of technology for the fifth and sixth grades in Palestine by analyzing the content of these textbooks. 
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method and specifically the method of content analysis, using quantitative and qualitative tools in the implementation of the study, the tool was used to analyze the content of the technology textbooks and the interview tool was used with two authors, of the Palestinian technology platform and four curriculum teachers.
In the present study, the researcher found  that the (STL) standards  more available in the new technology textbooks  where  there the number of standards available in the old technology textbook for the fifth grade was 50 out of 87 standards by 57%, and 70 out of 87 standards by 80% in new textbook for fifth grade, and 51 out of the 87 standards by 59% in the old textbook for the sixth grade, and 71 out of the standard 87 standards by 82% in new textbook for the sixth grade.
And, the researcher found that the results of the analysis in the nature of technology were as follows: 51 recurrences, 24% of the content in the old textbook for the fifth grade, and 116 repetitions 53% of the content in the new textbook for the fifth grade, 74 repetitions and 30% of the content in the old textbook for the sixth grade, 128 repetitions and 61% of the content in the new sixth grade textbook, 37 recurrence of 18% of the content in the old textbook for the fifth grade, 85 repetitions and 39% of the content in the new textbook for the fifth grade, 65 recurrence and 30% of the content in the old technology book for the sixth grade and 145 recurrence and 69% of the content in the new textbook for the sixth grade, the results of the analysis in the field of design as follows: 77 recurrences and 37% of the content in the old textbook for the fifth grade, 135 repetitions and 61% of the content in the new technology book for the fifth grade, 57 recurrences and 26% content in the old textbook for the sixth grade and 130 recurrences and 62% of the content in the new textbook for the sixth grade, and the results of the analysis in the capacity of the technological world as follows: 102 repetitions and 49% of the content in the old textbook for the fifth grade, 203 recurrence and 92% of the content in the new textbook for the fifth grade, 102 recurrences and 46% of the content in the old technology book for the sixth and 190th grade and 90% of the content in the new textbook for the sixth grade, while the results of the analysis in the technological systems in the world as follows: 38 recurrence and 18% In the Saints textbook for the fifth grade, 166 recurrences and 75% of the content in the new fifth-grade textbook, 57 recurrences and 26% of the content in the old sixth-grade textbook, 135 recurrences and 46% of the content in the new sixth-grade textbook
In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends  a number of suggestions, to benefit from the results of the current study in the development of modern Palestinian technology curricula, and the necessity and importance of analyzing the technology curriculum for the other grades of (7-10) according to the standards of technological enlightenment or other standards in the field of learning technology education and the need for the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Palestine to conduct evaluation studies of the new curriculum 
The committee consisted of: Dr. Saedah Afouneh as a main supervisor and Chairman, Dr. Safa Naser Deen as an external examiner and Dr. Ali Zuhdi as an internal examiner.
At the end of the session, the committee approved the success of the researcher and recommended her a Master’s degree.
