This study seeks to reveal the role of the Arab political regimes in stimulating extremism among the Arab people. This extremism spreads on the map of the Arab world, both in Asia and Africa. This study included in its spatial boundaries Tunisia, Egypt and Syria as models in order to be a comprehensive study, on the one hand, and on the other hand, because of the difference in the course of political events in each country.
This study aimed at highlighting the tragic situation of the Arab people, which resulted from the Arab regime’s policy of using extreme violence against opposing parties and individuals and to turn a blind eye to those close to the ruling authority in the exploitation of this authority and the spread of corruption in all aspects of life and religious extremism in some groups, which led to the shedding of blood in the Arab street and the displacement of a large number of people of the Arab world.
This study relied on the analytical descriptive approach to describe the Arab situation in the context of repressive tyrannical regimes and to analyze them to show their role in the development of extremism in the Arab world. In addition, the historical approach was used in this study to study past events in order to understand some facts about the present. Also this study showed that the policy of repressive Arab regimes led to the development of religious and political extremism in the Arab world.
This study concluded some of the most important results such as : The Arab mentality is a clan tribal mentality that deals with the citizens of the state on the basis of the slave and the master in obeying orders. The policy of the Arab regimes with their citizens contributed to the lack of confidence of citizens in the state and the ruling regime, which led to the emergence of extremist groups in their ideas and they aimed at achieving their interests as they marketed themselves as impervious and savior of the catastrophes which the Arab citizens suffer from. In addition, the Arab youth have been victims of the destructive and bloody ideas of extremist groups that have been found to achieve their interests and the interests of their supporters.
This study presented some recommendations that can be used such as : The governments that took power in the Arab countries after the Arab movement should seek to establish a democratic system in which the different sectors of Arab society, especially the educated youth, share. In addition, Arab intellectuals, writers and politicians should work to raise the awareness of the Arab mind about the dangers of ideas adopted by extremist groups, as well as to promote joint Arab cooperation in order to solve the existing Arab problems in the Arab world.
At the end of the session, the committee approved the success of the researcher and recommended him a Master’s degree.
