The Faculty of Graduate Studies awarded the researcher Yasmeen Abu Qayas a Master’s Degree in Methods of Teaching Mathematics in response to her thesis entitled “The Relationship between Student’s Attitudes Towards Mathematics, Emotions and Motivation to Learn it in the Upper Basic School in the Province of Qabatiya”.
This study aimed to uncover the relationship between students' attitudes toward mathematics, their motivation and their feelings towards their learning in the upper elementary stage in Qabatiya directorate. 
In order to answer the study questions and test hypotheses, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method. The study was applied to a randomized multi-stage random sample of students in the upper primary stage in Qabatiya schools according to gender, grade and student levels. The sample size was 720 students; (381) students and (339) students in the second semester of the academic year (2016-2017).
The following measures were applied to the study sample: the trend scale towards mathematics, the motivation scale towards learning mathematics, the measure of the self concept in learning mathematics, the emotional gauge in the learning of mathematics, Assessments of the importance or value of mathematics, the direction of the teacher or his support of the student, the tendency towards exerting effort in learning mathematics, and the total score (attitudes towards mathematics) were high, and the level of motivation for learning mathematics, In learning mathematics all are high.
The level of enjoyment in mathematics and the level of emotions during the learning of mathematics were average. There is a positive relationship between trends and motivation towards learning mathematics, between trends and self-concept in learning mathematics, attitudes and feelings towards learning, and also between motivation and self-concept and motivation and enjoyment and feelings. There is a negative relationship between motivation towards learning mathematics and anxiety of learning, and between the concept of self in learning math and the anxiety of learning.  The study recommended the need to give great importance in the teaching of mathematics to the emotional (emotional), and the need to develop positive attitudes towards learning mathematics, by making the classroom climate suitable for the study and away from psychological stress that cause anxiety and lack of desire to learn, and that the teacher of mathematics ability to Interact with students and relieve them of tension and fear of mathematics and learning, by making the material beloved to the students, and be born with motivation and the desire to study without the existence of concerns to them while teaching the material. It should be those responsible for the development of self-concept in mathematics learning among students of the educational process through the promotion of self-confidence.
The committee consisted of: Dr. Wajih Thaher as a main supervisor and Chairman, Dr. Mahmoud Ramdan as a second supervisor, Dr. Khetam Shreim as an external examiner and Dr. Suheil Salha as an internal examiner.
At the end of the session, the committee approved the success of the researcher and recommended her a Master’s degree.
